What you’ll be doing...

As a 5G Wireless Professional Services (PS) Senior Manager, you will be managing a team of consultants and project managers leading pre-sales, delivery, and business development within the Verizon Business Group 5G Wireless Professional Services Fixed Wireless Access practice. You will act as a thought leader in delivery functions and lead the team in the delivery of solutions and deployment services for customers in all segments and verticals. You will drive business growth as an active promoter for your offerings, with both internal organizations as well as customers. You will lead the expansion of your practice area by proactively identifying opportunities for new, and improvements to existing, offerings while managing business relationships with internal and external partners.
As a PS Sr. Manager, you will identify business drivers and requirements and be comfortable engaging in strategic discussions with internal and external customers at the executive level. You will product and service support by collaborating with direct reports, applicable Verizon product teams, Verizon support organizations and technology partners to influence technical direction, contribute to product roadmaps, and assist in resolving technical and process issues from presales through delivery. You will nurture customer relationships and effectively communicate project and/or issue status to Verizon key stakeholders as well as customer management and executive levels. You will be responsible for all team headcount growth and development including items such as hiring, onboarding, compensation planning, performance appraisals, professional development and aligning staffing needs to revenue goals.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and proactively takes ownership to resolve.
  • Effectively manage delivery according to contractual obligations including resource management, financial governance, standards maintenance, progress tracking, and reporting.
  • Identify areas for business growth and lead efforts from ideation through service launch.
  • Work independently with minimal guidance and be accountable for results.
  • Translate general guidance into actionable plans to achieve desired results.
  • Manage a large workload through effective task delegation and prioritization.
  • Solve complex problems through creative approaches.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience operating in a highly complex and dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience engaging clients and managing relationships at the executive level.
  • Experience in designing and deploying Enterprise Solutions in a technical environment.
  • Proven experience leading projects through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Proven experience selling consulting engagements which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.

  • Strategic thinker with high degree of intellectual curiosity to provide insightful analysis and effective decisions.
  • Excellent communications and team building skills across multiple work locations.
  • Technical knowledge and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Methodical and organized; able to manage multiple opportunities, projects, and partners concurrently.
  • Experience in technical project management for network infrastructure implementations
  • Network information technology education, training, and/or certification.
