What you’ll be doing...

As a Business Process Modeler in Business Transformation, you will be focused on process maturity and analytics for Verizon Business Group (VBG). You will interact with both functional peers and leaders in VBG and play an integral role in improving end to end processes using Verizon’s digital quality management tools. Your primary focus will be around process mining modeling, as well as, assisting managers in driving the operationalization of end to end process models and associated analytics across VBG’s customer-centric process model: Create, Market, Sell, Deliver, and Service.

  • Develop functional and end to end process models, to support specific business use cases.
  • Work with partner teams to source and validate data for business use cases (and end to end models when needed).
  • Work with stakeholders to identify root causes, problem solve, implement solutions and develop control mechanisms.
  • Transition models over to business in the control phase of use case projects.
  • Provide process model development support to VBG use case modelers as needed.
  • Use best practices and standards across VBG use case process models (process mining community).
  • Provide leadership and functional unit management with updates on project status, key metrics, issues, and risks.
  • Assist in analyzing various drivers / errors impacting processes and provide insights to stakeholders.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

This role can be located in other valid Verizon locations.

What we’re looking for...

You have excellent analytical skills, and are eager to work in a collaborative environment with functional teams to drive process improvement using digital methods. You are willing to learn new domains and processes. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are able to interact with various stakeholders and peers to implement data driven improvements.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with SQL, dashboards (eg Tableau, Qlik).
  • Experience with data sourcing and validation.
  • Experience with business process management fundamentals and process diagramming.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in engineering, business or other relevant field.
  • Master’s degree, MBA or advanced degree.
  • Communication skills.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma as a Black Belt or higher.
  • Experience with process mining and analysis software (eg UiPath, iGrafx, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Experience focusing on operational processes and customer experience.
  • Experience in telecom or related industries.
  • Experience working in a Tier-1 management consulting organization.
  • Presentation skills, including the ability to create presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, and experience presenting to all levels of an organization - including executives.
