What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Designer is responsible for creating innovative, visually engaging digital, web-based desktop, mobile, and tablet experiences for a range of cross-platform digital communications. The Senior Designer works directly and closely with the ACD and other members of the creative team, account services, clients, UX, and developers to understand and execute against projects of all sizes and meet the goals and objectives.
The Senior Designer weaves images, iconography, typography, color, space, and technology together to delight users with designs that excite and engage them. They rely on customer-focused design principles to produce high-quality visuals — from concept to execution — across multiple platforms. They’ll work closely with our passionate brand, marketing, development, media, and sales teams to bring ideas to life to help drive business.

  • Produce original designs, graphic elements, assets, and visual treatments for complex projects ranging from websites, applications, email, and advertisements that adapt and flow with responsive design systems, based on limited direction.
  • Be extremely detail-oriented in producing pixel-perfect Sketch files, Figma files, and Scene7 assets.
  • Explore and develop concepts with emerging technologies, such as new user interaction technologies or augmented environments.
  • Partake in ideation sessions and develop concepts in collaboration with the writer/creative team that are strategically sound, on-brand and pleasing to our users.
  • Partner with front-end developers to create HTML and CSS-friendly designs.
  • Communicate effectively in a cross-functional product development team and present ideas and designs effectively.
  • Present a visually engaging user interface with an effective hierarchy of information so information is easy to read, easy to understand, easy to find and elevates the landing page experience.
  • Provide design support for aligned client groups, as well as support projects from other clients as demand and scheduling require.
  • Work in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment.
  • Be accountable for producing the creative assets, ensure accuracy and attention to detail to meet or exceed overall design objectives.
  • Ensure brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions.
  • Partner with the copywriters, designers, senior art directors, ACDs and brand team to achieve effective and efficient outcomes.
  • Respond to business requests and communications in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Work to improve the team’s overall performance by embracing agile methodology, functioning as an integral part of an agile team.
  • Support leadership in helping to build a unified team mindset.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Digital advertising, marketing, platform, and product site experience.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping of creative concepts utilizing both interactive hardware and software platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing usable interfaces for popular web-based products.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design with an emphasis on digital, human-computer interaction or a related field.
  • Expert-level typography skills with an eye for detail.
  • Four or more years of professional-level creative/digital design experience within an external or in-house agency.
  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating solid digital design skills and innovative interactive work.
  • A strong understanding of CSS, HTML 5, motion design, and design related technology concerns.
  • Proven ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale within a user-centered design process.
  • Demonstrated expertise of design techniques, skills, tools and procedures for the applicable media.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
  • Eagerness to learn new techniques to be more proficient in your design skills.
  • Self-motivation to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.
  • Ability to write and speak effectively and to clearly communicate with peers, leadership team, and clients.
  • Ability to work with highly technical teams.
  • An eagerness to share designs with team early in the process to gain alignment on execution strategy.
  • Knowledge of data and trends in the competitive landscape to inform the design process.
  • Pragmatism with creative executions while always keeping eye on the objectives of the assignment.
  • Can listen well and incorporate other’s viewpoints into the design process.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and maintain high standards under pressing deadlines.
  • Taken personal responsibility and accountability for your work.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work after hours as needed.
  • Solved problems before they negatively impact the project, team, or processes.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and directions.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and are proactive about offering to help, especially in challenging situations and even if out of your comfort zone.
  • Understanding of the scope of your role and willingness to seek help from appropriate team members or other resources as necessary.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and can be counted on for accuracy, timely and precise file delivery, and file upkeep per project on the creative drive.
