What you’ll be doing...

We are looking for a Senior iOS Mobile Developer that has a proven track record in building enterprise-class mobile apps, and well versed in the latest technologies that focus on VR-AR/MR, AI. You will design, develop, and modify mobile software applications and components. You will provide subject matter expertise and technical leadership; lead complex development tasks to successful completion. You will innovate the 5G Home setup experience within the MyVerizon Mobile app, also maintaining the existing mobile software. You will participate in regular design and code reviews with development team members to confirm the use of best practices. And you will understand and evaluate new technologies, develop skills in new technologies.

  • Develop new complex mobile applications from top to bottom (user interface design, application design, implementation, unit and functional testing, deployment to customers). Implement new features in existing mobile applications.
  • Liaise with product stakeholders and other teams in the organization to complete the projects on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, manage criteria applied during code reviews.
  • Investigate technical issues during the full development lifecycle.
  • Assess feasibility, difficulty, and provide time estimates on implementing new features to an application.
  • Sometimes our job mandates we review 3rd party applications and recommend the best in the market to our business partners. The candidate should have the skills to prepare and present the final recommendation.
  • Technical expertise in developing software that relies on Bluetooth to find nearby devices, connect to Bluetooth devices, and transfer data.
  • Coach and develop team members to increase the team’s bench strength and flexibility.
  • Translate business requirements into applications by implementing the best strategy to ensure the design meets performance, usability, reliability, and scalability standards.
  • Contribute to the high-performance of the agile-development lifecycle by ensuring productive, and successful sprints by working to reduce blocking issues for the team.

Where you'll be working:

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Mobile Development experience iPhone/iPad development in native Objective C and Swift (5.x).
  • Experience with some of Apple’s most commonly used Core frameworks: CoreAnimation, CoreData, CoreLocation.
  • Experience in UIKit.
  • Built an app or significantly contributed to in the App Store.
  • Experience in Web Services (XML, JSON, WCF).
  • Experience in Asynchronous programming and networking protocols.
  • Experience in ORM (Object Relational Model).

Even better if you have:

  • IT experience in Analysis, Architecture, Design, Development, Testing, and Implementation of various Client / Server, iOS (iPhone/iPad), and Web Applications.
  • Knowledge of UI design and a keen focus on user experience.
  • Knowledge of performance measurement and optimization.
  • Knowledge in appium.
  • Good knowledge on use analytical tools like Splunk, kibana.
  • Experience working on enterprise applications following the agile methodology.
  • Experience with enhancing and maintaining an existing Bluetooth library.
  • Advanced knowledge in core concepts like Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Memory Management (Memory profiling and performance tuning), Persistent Data and Data Structures, Dependency Injection, MVC pattern, and MVVM pattern.
  • Experience with maintaining and refactor existing codebases to best practices and new technologies.
  • Knowledge of network frameworks as well as third parties.

  • Knowledge and experience with build and release management.
