What you’ll be doing...

As SOE Lead this role will be responsible for Service Assurance Systems (SAS) SOE (Standard Operating Environment) compliance and helping the teams across the SAS organization ensure that they are following the standards, especially during new design and architecture discussion as the systems migrate and change for optimum efficiencies. This role will ensure that our teams are following SOE and have a plan to improve the system’s score, which in turn will drive lower maintenance costs as we move away from non-directional hardware and software. By working with the tier one applications, SAS can find ways to improve the overall score to meet the 2022 and beyond objectives.

For Financial reporting automation, this role will work with the group on automating reports to assist the SA organization in staying on track with capital and expense, time tracking and other ad-hoc reporting needs.
As a Security Focal Point for Service Assurance organization responsible for 3 areas including: Security, Compliance, and Global Clearance. Responsible for Service Assurance (SAS) for compliance and risk management to ensure meet the yearly compliance goals, privacy laws, and Verizon standards (such as CPI-810, Universal PIA, CCPA).

  • Communicating to the SAS application teams status, solutions, new priorities and will set up meetings with the teams to set strategy and goals to get the application back in compliance with legal requests and report to leadership, both in SAS and Compliance, the teams timelines.
  • Delivering requirements and translate to the SAS application teams on status, solutions, new priorities and troubleshooting issues that will help them meet the risk level objectives which are ever changing as new rules are constantly added to the scoring methodology.
  • Being strategic in looking at risk activities and has to provide appropriate video training, proactive strategy meetings and verify adherence to the SAFe Secure SDLC model.
  • Coordinating with the Security Lead role to receive recommendations, strategy, and goals to get the application back on track and report to leadership, both in SAS and Security, the timelines to mitigate risk vulnerabilities.
  • Assisting the Service Assurance teams through the clearance process including a checklist of steps, setting meetings to assist teams with any problems and developing videos to train application POCs on how to complete the questionnaires, data masking, etc. in each tool.
  • Tracking SAS and performing as the clearance point of contact to help prioritize which applications should start the clearance process because of changing statements of work and contractors.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with security compliance frameworks including CPI-810 and DoD CMMC.
  • Experience with Application Security Tools including Fortify, Black Duck, Tenable.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipeline (CICD).
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • OWASP vulnerabilities, privacy law and clean room requirements.
  • Ability to juggle competing demands and to prioritize work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate priorities and requirements between the leadership team and the application teams.
  • Experience in CISD, OWASP ZAP, VAST, vGRC,and ScrubIT.
  • Working experience with version control (GIT).
  • Ability to work with the application custodians to prioritize Security vulnerabilities and Standard Operating Environment changes to improve internal performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of project management, presentation and analysis tools required: G Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Jira, Confluence.
