What you’ll be doing...

  • Providing functional, technical, or process leadership to the NSA (North Star Architecture) including architecture, design, development, and delivery of environments/infrastructure using industry-standard processes, tools, and technologies.
  • Enabling CICD automation through end-to-end pipelines covering builds, deployments, security scans, code scans, as well as sanity automation integration using relevant tools (e.g., Jenkins, maven, Git).
  • Taking ownership and responding to issues with urgency, including the opening investigations and outage bridges, troubleshooting, managing traffic across multiple applications and locations, managing daily checkpoint calls, and tracking of open items on a daily basis for the supported applications.
  • Working closely with Architects, Engineers, Operations, Product Managers, and other clients and partners of the DevOps team to meet the needs of the organization to stay competitive - from the infrastructure up to the highest level of applications availability and scalability at optimum performance level.
  • Pro-actively analyzing current processes and practices and suggesting/ driving improvements.
  • Enabling Canary deployments and Blue-Green environment setup as part of zero touch environment maintenance.
  • Driving organization-wide EKS/K8s/Cloud migrations, CICD automations, sanity automation initiatives and their implementation to ensure smooth operations and stability of the environment.
  • Understanding Business requirements and working with development architects to translate requirements into solution architecture designs.
  • Analyzing competitive products and technologies and making appropriate suggestions (may use demos, POCs) to influence product/technology direction.
  • Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting EKS/K8s/Cloud/DevOps platform including application servers, cloud resources, API management and integration, Single Sign-On and associated hardware or endpoints, and databases.
  • Designing, building, improving, and supporting an EKS/Kubernetes-based data processing architecture that can run on premise and in an AWS environment.
  • Building and configuring Kubernetes-based infrastructure, networking policies, LBs, and cluster security.
  • Automating the build of containerized systems with CI/CD tools, Helm charts, and more.
  • Managing deployments and rollbacks of applications.
  • Supporting middleware distributed environments in standalone and highly available configuration including WebSphere Application Server, Oracle WebLogic, RedHat JBoss, and Apache Tomcat.
  • Being responsible for configuration, deployment, and automation of middleware components for new and existing application environments across Unix/Linux.
  • Monitoring and auditing virtual/hardware resources, security, operating system, service logs, and metrics for performance issues using centralized tools.

What we’re looking for...

  • You'll need to have:
  • This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with CICD, DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Artifactory, Gitlab along with AWS Cloud, K8s/EKS, Linux.
  • Experience in build tools (e.g., Ant/maven/gradle/NANT).
  • Experience in SRE principles and techniques.
  • Experience in administration of user and role provisioning, connectors, workflow, certificate management, session management, encryption technologies.
  • Experience working with webserver technologies (e.g., Apache, Oracle Iplanet, IBMHttpServer); application Server expertise (e.g., Websphere, WebLogic, Tomcat) along with expertise in shell scripting.
  • Experience in Application Monitoring and Logging tools (e.g., Wily, Splunk, New Relic, Kibana, Grafana).
  • Experience in networking concepts (e.g., Subnets, routing, DNS, VPN).
  • Experience in reviewing application performance metrics and proactively addressing performance concerns.
  • Experience in building and maintaining DEV, QA and PROD and Disaster Recovery environments hosted on EKS/K8s/Cloud.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues and quickly resolving them in an efficient manner that minimizes downtime.
  • Experience building high-performance scalable resilient infrastructures.
  • Experience with Load Balancers (e.g., GLB, AKAMAI/EdgeCast, ALB/ELB).
  • Experience in API management tools (e.g., Apigee, API Gateway).
  • Experience and with and knowledge of microservice architecture patterns, and a fundamental understanding of cloud deployments and methodologies.
  • Experience with container and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes).
  • Experience with fluentd/fluent bit configurations and experience in setting up end-to-end logging framework as EFK.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience in Production Support/Operations support with Amazon EKS/Kubernetes (K8s) and experience with DevOps and AWS Cloud Computing platforms.
  • AWS/K8s/DevOps Certifications.
  • Experience with implementation of Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS framework.
