What you’ll be doing...
Manager - Operations Support
In this role, you will be at the epicenter of Marketing-wide programs and initiatives that will help shape Verizon's marketing strategies and drive execution of leadership initiatives / priorities. As a core member of the CMO/Operations team, you will also partner with leaders across various marketing teams and business units to deliver critical projects for the CMO.
The ideal candidate for this role is equal parts strategic and operational; You will be responsible for developing executive level presentations, managing leadership projects and programs, and supporting key transformationional activities across the organization. Above all, you're organized, self-motivated, and have a willingness to work hard to solve problems to answers which are not obvious or known.
This role represents a unique opportunity to work with broad levels of leadership in the areas of strategy, planning, and operations management.
Your key responsibilities
Lead high-priority cross-functional Marketing projects, directly managing project managers to drive forward execution.
Align input, priorities, and initiatives from across the CMO organization and other functional groups in order to facilitate the co-creation of the Marketing narrative for internal and external engagement and communications.
Brainstorms with leadership to develop ideas and create graphically engaging, concise presentations.
Ensures all presentations are delivered in a clear, consistent, accurate, and impactful manner under tight deadlines.
Support preparations for key Marketing leadership meetings including setting the agenda, tracking follow-ups, and driving next steps.
Support the co-creation of the governance process and roadmap.
Strengthen internal communications and develop and refine mechanisms for teams to work more effectively together
Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and make recommendations for improvements to processes.
What we’re looking for...
To qualify for the role, you must have
BA/BS in marketing, business, finance, or related area (or equivalent work experience)
5+ years of relevant work experience in Marketing and/or Operations
High degree of organization with excellent project management skills; ability to prioritize projects, communicate progress, and deliver on time.
Demonstrated executive presence and experience managing high-touch relationships and highly sensitive business matters involving strategy and planning
Strong knowledge of PowerPoint and/or Google G-Suite; Comfortable creating executive level presentations inclusive of concise visual representation of data
Excellent communications skills with ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functions
Skills and attributes for success
High degree of structured problem solving skills, prioritization, and ability to get things done
Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
Experience working within an ever-evolving/demanding environment with changing tasks/priorities
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale projects, with a high competency in managing deliverables
Strong negotiation and influencing skills within all levels in the organization including senior leadership; proven track record of forming and maintaining positive business relationships
Strong operational effectiveness to form tactical solutions coupled with the ability to identify and align the appropriate resources to address them
Experience with budget, talent, and operational activities in collaboration with finance and human resources functions
