What you’ll be doing...
Verizon seeks a dynamic contract management professional to join our Networks team in Dublin. We are looking for individuals with strong drafting, negotiation and contract management experience and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for the sourcing of network equipment and infrastructure, IT, software licensing, installation and maintenance support services.
The Contract Manager (CM) position is responsible for contract development and management of all contractual documents, working in partnership with the Category Sourcing Expert (CSE), suppliers, internal business and legal departments to negotiate and develop robust legal and commercial terms and conditions with Verizon’s suppliers. The CM acts as an advisor and expert for contract related issues and must apply critical thinking skills and work independently to make sound business decisions on behalf of the Company, actively progressing contracts to a timely execution. Day to day work of the CM requires significant interpretation of diverse contractual issues as well as the ability to identify any potential legal, operational and commercial risks which the business needs to consider prior to the execution of the Agreement. The role also requires oversight of the approval process for high value deals, ongoing contract management and issue resolution as needed after contract execution. The CM works closely with internal audit teams and supplier's auditors to resolve contract compliance issues.
