What you’ll be doing...

Corporate FP&A - Capital Reporting Team

The Capital Reporting Team is responsible for the Verizon enterprise consolidated reporting of capital expenditures for both incurred and cash capex, including leading the monthly/quarterly close process and ensuring compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley Controls. The role will work closely with partners from the Corporate FP&A, FPAS, GN&T FP&A including Network & GTS and the commercial FP&A teams to analyze capex trends and provide leadership insights into spend trajectory.

  • Work with the manager to prepare and review the monthly cash Outlook (OL)/Best View (BV). Perform variance analysis to identify key drivers to actuals and OL, as well as additional analysis of possible opportunities in the plan.
  • Work with the manager to prepare executive materials and monthly analysis to be used in management reviews and strategic business sessions).
  • Support the ongoing enhancements to the cash forecasting model and scenario analysis (Monte Carlo).
  • Develop and maintain monthly reporting materials. Assist the manager in preparing materials to tell the story and provide leadership with actionable insights. Proactively identify possible scenarios, risks and opportunities to business performance.
  • Develop and maintain the Statement of Procedures (SOPs) related to capital transfers. Enforce the governance around transfers as outlined in the SOPs. Assist manager in transforming the transfer process. Reconcile monthly transfers to submitted OL/Committed View (CV).
  • Partner with the manager on transforming the reporting process including automation and transition to digital tools. Work with partners across the finance organizations to develop system requirements and identify source data parameters to support the transformation.
  • Additional ad-hoc analysis as needed.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to focus on the details.
