What you’ll be doing...

In this role you’ll provide direct support to the senior leader of a sales organization in Verizon Business Group, and you’ll interact daily with a cross-functional team to ensure organizational initiatives, actions, and resources are aligned to achieve Global Enterprise business unit objectives. You’ll work across all aspects of the business to understand what is required to achieve results, track progress of initiatives and actions, provide executive-level communications support, and find innovative solutions to overcome challenges. This position requires being in person in the Basking Ridge office 50-75% of the time and requires travel 25% of the time.

  • Translating executive direction into clear messaging and communications delivered through slides, email, and other written and graphic formats.
  • Managing executive slide development including building from scratch, adapting existing formats, clarifying requirements, incorporating updates, and providing feedback.
  • Thoughtfully proposing and assisting with developing agendas, outlines, and slides to communicate key messaging to internal and external audiences.
  • Managing the production of executive communication deliverables that require collaboration and input from multiple business units and leadership teams.
  • Organizing monthly all-hands calls, including developing agendas, securing, and preparing speakers and creating content.
  • Developing and implementing a regular process for senior leader employee interactions, including town halls, roundtables and 1:1’s.
  • Evaluating executive direction and action items for prioritization, ownership, and follow-up.
  • Managing employee recognition program (non-sales), including collecting nominees.
  • Creating and delivering weekly reports on progress, status, and activity related to key initiatives.
  • Assisting with coordinating executive calendars related to availability for key internal and external events and assisting with the development and execution of culture and employee development initiatives.
  • Managing and completing ad-hoc projects and reports that require coordination across teams and influencing teams to meet due dates, while building positive relationships.
  • Building critical collaborative working relationships with non-reporting teams of all levels to achieve goals.
  • Recognizing time-sensitive turnaround times for executive materials and requests; adapt quickly to changing priorities.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Business or sales operations experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience analyzing and forecasting sales and measuring salesforce productivity, ideally with Salesforce.com.
  • Prior sales experience, ideally with enterprise-level or mid-tier customers.
  • Experience in supporting SVPs and senior level leaders
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage projects within tight timelines with multiple key stakeholders.
  • Ability to train others with Salesforce automation and productivity skills and tools.
