What you’ll be doing...

We are looking for a Senior Manger who will be responsible for the delivery of several critical Verizon Consumer Group and Business Group North star and business initiatives for the Verizon customers. You will be responsible for working with the various stakeholder groups across the VCG and VBG organization to deliver business projects with high quality on time and within budget. You will lead a global team of diverse talent and will need to work with other team members within the organization and deliver the programs. This role is responsible for ensuring services are developed on the CXP services platform to cover all the business needs while providing best in class customer experience. You will lead and oversee all aspects of the development process, ensuring the development activities are carried out according to highest industry standards. To continuously improve the agile development process, with an emphasis on automation, reuse and increased productivity. Interfacing with various internal and external systems and stakeholders. Ensure that the technical solution is in line with the business requirement and technical standards. You will be part of a team that will work to support a diverse range of complex initiatives both in development as well as production and regularly lead multiple, technically complex, large-scale projects. Responsible for technical architecture, design and solution for CXP Services (Pricing, Catalog and Promotions). You would also be resposible to legacy pricing applications and delivering business objectives for the customer.

  • Responsible and accountable for the Pricing and CXP Domain application design, development and implementation.
  • Design and develop solutions for complex order management applications, interact with business partners, understand business needs and translate that to IT requirements and implement.
  • Ensure the developed code satisfies business requirements and ensure it is delivered on time.
  • Develop coding standards and best practices for developers both in Verizon India and US. Review their code deliverables to ensure no security, performance flaws and no negative customer experience.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for Executive updates on Major programs with business benefits and ROI.
  • After the software is delivered to production, track the metrics to ensure it meets its original objective.
  • Platform modernization using new technologies. Identify new technologies the industry is moving towards and implement them to stay relevant.
  • Evaluate Open Source technologies, come up with proof of concepts and then implement these new technologies to reduce the cost of Ownership.

This role will be based out of one of the locations listed in the posting. In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.This role can sit out of any valid U.S. based Verizon work location.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience implementing large scale, highly-available Java applications using Microservices.
  • Knowledge on Open Source technologies, WebServices, Middleware, Source Code Management (GIT, Stash) and Cloud Platforms and use this information to set the technical direction for scalability and reduce cost of ownership.
  • Knowledge of Data Architecture and Object Oriented Methodologies with development experience as a Technical Architect providing proven solutions.
  • Technology leadership, including solid understanding of architecture, and full stack implementation.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology management or related discipline.
  • Experience in No SQL technologies.
  • Experience with DevOps tools.
  • Experience in AWS cloud, EKS and Kubernetes.
  • Experience handling large production applications and experience with performance tuning.
  • Outstanding record of professional experience and accomplishment in driving IT transformation.
  • Experience working and interacting with business, Offshore teams and executives. Strong domain knowledge in billing, provisioning and order management.
  • Strong and proven experience designing, delivering and managing service level agreements and performance metrics.
  • Wireless / telecom industry experience with a focus on large scale transformation programs.
  • Experience supporting mission critical 24X7 production systems, lead real-time high stake risk mitigation plan and drive timely decisions.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment.
