What you’ll be doing...

The Counrty HR Manager forFrance/Italy drives the overall in-region people strategy by providing strategic advice and support on a broad range of the employment lifecycle. The HRBP France/Italy is a trusted partner for the regional Leadership Teams on matters of compliance, development and implementation of country-specific programs, and on strategic HR related matters across all Verizon entities in France/Italy. The position holder works in close partnership with Functional HRBPs, the Global HR Service team and other HR related stakeholders such as Talent Acquisition, Payroll and Compensation & Benefits, giving detailed advice and problem resolution on complex and sensitive HR policy interpretation and procedural issues.

Furthermore the HRBP for France/Italy draws on deep operational HR process, policy and labor law knowledge and understanding, and is the custodian of all local HR policies and procedures and delivers the HR country plan(s) to ensure organizational effectiveness. The person will also ensure that all teams within France/Italy are working effectively in line with Verizon’s Code of Conduct and the organizational culture and is a key member of the France/Italian Leadership team(s). In certain countries the HRBP holds the authority to sign in the name of the company in France/Italy.

  • Ensure compliance to all legislative and organizational policy requirements for France/Italy
  • Driving process improvement to gain efficiencies in work conducted and driving strong HR business partnering and professional people management standards/processes across France/Italy
  • Implementing and managing all changes which are rolled out as required by the business or HR team within the timeframe and with procedural accuracy ensuring appropriate collaboration with local works councils, employee representative bodies or union representatives, and all relevant Verizon stakeholders.
  • Ensure all employment relations issues and matters in France/Italy are dealt with in compliance with local laws and business risk is minimized and key stakeholders are engaged appropriately.
  • Working closely with Employment Legal and Labour Relations as required in the context of compliance and legal matters - a seamless cooperation is key
  • Proper handling of local ER activities, following the Verizon Investigation Charter and any local procedural requirements. Producing accurate and timely reporting and records of country HR data, compliance and ER matters and ensuring all Verizon stakeholders are aware and informed.
  • Proactively analysing country risks and working closely with relevant stakeholders as required to ensure mitigation plans are in place.
  • Collaborating with and providing HR related input to the Employment Legal and Labour Relations team in all engagements with French works councils, employee representative bodies or union representatives. Building relationships across these bodies in France/Italy.
  • Ensuring the roll out of engagement activities as part of the Geo Led Engagement program and in accordance with the global CSR activities
  • Responsible for the standard BAU in-country HRBP activities per the existing HR R&R matrix

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor degreein human resource management, employment legislation, organizational psychology, business, orequivalent work experience.
  • Relevant experience in local HR Business Partner,HR Business Consultant roles, or working in a dynamic global organization in France
  • Fluency in English.
  • Fluency inFrench.
  • Experience in building relations and successful negotiations with Works Councils/Employee rep Bodies.
  • Experience with building relationships with relevant stakeholders of all levels within a global matrix organisation
  • Knowledge of HR processes gained in a dynamic global and matrix organization

  • Ability to speak italian desirable
  • Ability to proactively develop and implement effective change management plans for key HR and business initiatives
