What you’ll be doing...

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, hands-on Engineering manager-QE to lead our Events team in Bangalore.BlueJeans empowers organizations across the globe with a highly interactive, production-grade virtual events platform. BlueJeans Events Product merges the best of live video conferencing, content sharing, and live streaming capabilities into a single, easy-to-use service that connects and engages everyone.

You will lead a group of talented quality engineers and will help test high performance, scalable, resilient platforms, web services and streamingthat are used by many enterprises/customers. As a manager you will be responsible for building a great team, mentoring them and driving the testing, automation and non-functional aspects.

You will work closely with developmentmanagers, product management to test and certify the roadmap items, your peers across the company to ensure integration, operations and program management to drive roll out and customer support to support deployment.

• Lead and mentor a team of passionate QE engineers to create best practices and tools that are used to test Webservices, backend and streaming applications across various platforms like Web and Electron apps.
• Drive and lead technical architecture of automation frameworks design and development for functional and performance testing in streaming and webservices.
• Involve in debuggingand perform root cause analysis for escapes and use defect escape ratio to bridge the gaps in testing.
• Maintain a test environment & test setups working closely with the SRE team for the same.
• Lead various releases and timelines by coordinating with team members and stakeholders to resolve dependencies/update the status.
• Collaborate with Product managers, UX, Dev teams and have ownership of end-to-end features / products.
• Publish & present status reports periodically to multiple stake( including sr mgmt) with appropriate level of details

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree with four or more years of experience.
• Eight or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in leading and testing high performance, distributed, scalable, resilient platforms, backend, streaming platform and RESTful webservices.
• Experience managing high performing QE teams.
• Expertise in automation and functional test frameworks design and development, tools such as Protractor, Selenium, Cucumber, RestAssure, and other automation tools and best practices.
• Expert in programming languages like Java, python and shell script.
• Exposure to testing cloud technologies, SaaS or consumer web applications.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience in non-functional aspects - load and resiliency, automatedSecurity testing, Code Coverage, API Coverage, Backward Compatibility testingof backend and web services.
• Experience in working with video encoder and decoder testing.
• Experience building automation test frameworks for non-functional testing.
