What you’ll be doing...

This is a highly impactful role as a Technical Product Owner/Manager IOT within the hardware product team for Verizon Connect. You will be responsible for clearly defining the next generation of hardware and devices by working and leading cross-functional teams. You’re self-directed and collaborative & cultivate relationships with teams & partners.

  • Define product requirements – writing and prioritizing use cases-
  • Write Agile-based stories that conform to best practices including acceptance criteria, positive and negative paths, etc.
  • Manage product backlog, prioritize feature development, support execution plans and ensure the developed product is quality assured following the hardware & devices roadmap.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Development Teams, UX teams, installation and deployment team to understand customer requirements.
  • Incorporate feedback & input from customers, partners and teams on product requirements.
  • Work w/ stakeholders to plan work for Development and QA and field engineering and deployments.
  • Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule. Gather customer feedback, run advisory session, UAT sessions and measure/manage NPS post launch.
  • Data Analysis: In depth data analysis to understand product performance/uptime/usage post launch.
  • Root causes product issues and manages customer/ exec expectations.
  • Synthesize your own analysis and succinct recommendations for a path forward.
  • Support to Implementation, Customer & App Support teams post launch stabilization activities.
  • Partner on product documentation during the Go-to-Market process for new features.
  • Operate in a highly matrixed, globally distributed organization.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Clearly & effectively communicate the roadmaps, product plans, and availability to internal stakeholder teams to ensure alignment and cross-group readiness.

Where you'll be working...

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience as Product Owner/Business Analyst/Technical Project Manager.
  • Experience operating in an agile & lean/kanban product dev environment, interacting with both hardware and software development processes.

Even better if you have:

  • MBA.
  • Experience in managing and building consumer electronics hardware, IOT or devices.
  • Good understanding of modern software development technologies and languages
  • Experience working in Wiki & JIRA but setting up and grooming User stories, Epics & tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Hold an advanced engineering degree (EE, CS, ME, similar) w/high technical aptitude or extensive practical experience working with IoT solutions.
