What you’ll be doing...

Work independently project managing strategic initiatives for the Wholesale Contract Billing team. The successful Consultant will be responsible for the manual billing support for all Verizon Telecom Wholesale customers. They will work with cross-functional teams to review all new opportunities and represent Contract Billing’s perspective.

  • Partner with other Wholesale teams to ensure interpretation of contracts is accurate and supportable. Support project plan to implement end-to-end solutions.
  • Partner with team members and manager to identify and implement business improvements to achieve ongoing operational efficiencies.
  • Provide guidance and assists analysts if they are uncertain of the process to follow for more complex scenarios.
  • Review and research data to identify and resolve errors and billing variances.
  • Monitor contractual commitments and process contractual and operational adjustments.
  • Produce standard and non-standard reports for customers and Account Teams.
  • Support and proactively embrace new projects, processes, and changes.
  • Lead the team by being a role model, identify opportunities for process improvements, and assist the team in achieving all goals.

Where you'll be working...

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in G-Suites (Google Sheets, Docs and Gmail).

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Experience with Wholesale customers, systems, and processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of Verizon Telecom contracts, tariffs, and discount plans.
  • SQL Experience.
  • Organizational, facilitation, written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, support multiple assignments, with exceptional attention to detail.
