What you’ll be doing...

The Technical Writer and Documentation Specialist is responsible to develop and publish engineering documentation, including conceptual and task-based documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Method of Procedures (MOP), System Development Live Cycle (SDLC), Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), System Engineering Operations Report (SEOR), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Configuration Guides, User Guides, White Papers, Product Release Documentation, and other work with text and publication.

Works closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to gather customer requirements, and document architecture solutions and compliancy matrices that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards. Coordinate the development and delivery mechanisms to insure contractually required reports are provided to the customer.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’re great at your ability to execute in a methodical manner to gather, document, and present specific customer requirements as well as articulate technical solutions following an established process or procedure. You thrive on researching highly technical subject matter, organize information from multiplesources, and express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers. You enjoy developing and maintaining excellent proactive, working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company, especially internal teams to satisfy customers’ request for development of white papers, technical proposals, and responding to RFPs and RFIs.

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a government issued security clearance.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Network Engineering
  • Directly related experience in a telecommunications service provider network.
  • Relevant experience as a Technical Writer or Documentation Specialist.
  • Relevant vendor certification.
  • Technical Writing Certifications
