What you’ll be doing...

As a VATManager, you will oversee VAT and other indirect tax filings for our entities across the EMEA region. Responsibilities associated with the position include:

• Supporting the Tax Director in managing the compliance program, working with Tax Authorities.
• Managing VAT risks and providing VAT advice to our business units.
• Reviewing all VAT and related returns sent by the Finance Team/Outsourced Providers, including VAT balances and trends.
• Working with Finance, AP, and Billing teams to resolve any differences.
• Obtaining approval to file returns and make payments.
• Delivering tax audit support.
• Reviewing taxable status of customer accounts and requests for VAT exemptions to ensure any non-taxable accounts are correctly established.
• Providing VAT training to internal teams.
• Supporting implementation of VAT e-invoicing and e-reporting requirements.
• Supporting the design, testing and implementation of tax requirements as part of the migration to S4HANA.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager

What we’re looking for...

You are a whiz with numbers and enjoy digging into details to identify root causes. Communicating complex details in a way everyone understands comes naturally to you. You know how to present your ideas with clarity and confidence, and the fact that you can have a real impact on our business is highly motivating to you.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degreeor relevant work experience.
• International VAT experience in public/private sectors.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field, or relevant work experience
• Experience working as a VAT Manager, VAT Senior, or a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of VAT.
• CTA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience of working for one of the large Accounting/Consultancy firms, a tax authority, or in an internal tax role within a global business.
• S/4HANA Desirable.
