What you’ll be doing...

Your role is to manage the operations of a Verizon Data Center. This includes working with vendors on maintenance issues, housekeeping, as well asIT on technical challenges impacting the facility or visitors. You will submit requests for proposals to vendors, evaluate their responses and follow the purchasing process to award work to multiple vendors.

  • Working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to plan for future space needs and provide recommendations.
  • Collaborating and communicatingwith multiple diverse teams to meet project goals related to interior construction work or other associated renovation.
  • Coordinatingspecial projects related to temporary or permanent team relocations including project management of new interior designs, new support equipment installations or other team requirements necessary for groups or individuals to meet their changing company goals or mission assignments.
  • Tracking and processing associated facility accounts receivable and accounts payable for Southlake and Westlake locations.
  • Reviewing all facility related invoices, confirming work was completed satisfactorily, and processing to ensure they are paid in a timely fashion.
  • Monitoring and tracking facility expenses, assisting with associated facility budgets, and providing monthly updates to manager on spending targets and potential budget shortfalls.
  • Assisting with negotiating building related service contracts such as housekeeping, pest control, and landscaping.
  • Servingas primary point of contact for maintenance issues arising at Southlake and the leased offices in Westlake.
  • Overseeing vendors, assisting the Facility Operations Team with scheduling and oversight of non-critical preventative maintenance services.
  • Overseeing bidding and awarding projects or associated repair services.
  • Overseeing the volunteer safety warden program and ensuringeach floor is properly staffed and every warden properly trained.
  • Being responsive to tenant requests in the areas of: safety, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and environmental needs through direct personal contact and work order systems.
  • Coordinatingcontractor, tenant, and management approvals for work that require the use of an outside contractor. Maintain log of work order details.
  • Performing all assigned work so as to ensure the safety of the building’s tenants and the continuous operation of the site.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

You have a focus on details and the ability to be the go-to person for the occupants of our facility. You are driven to provide all services and keep a clean and well-functioning facility for others to enjoy their in-office time.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of the purchasing process such as working with purchase orders and multiple project types.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Knowledge of data center building systems such as redundant power systems, high density HVAC systems, and fire detection and fire protection systems.
