What you’ll be doing...

Supporting the Dallas Outside Plant Engineering organization, reporting to the Sr. Manager. This includes life cycle management AFEs and forecasting spend and advanced data analytics to explain variances between budget and actual spend.

• Project Managing engineering activities of the assigned turf area for projects associated with expanding and maintaining the OSP network infrastructure.
• Building strong communication channels with vendors and internal departments (e.g., Budget/Finance teams, OneFiber PMO team, Procurement, Contract Admin).
• Hosting or participating in status or project calls
• Utilizing invoicing and financial dashboard data to drive feedback for continued automation improvements.
• Pre and post-build order/project management.
• Project Managing engineering activities of the assigned turf area for projects associated with expanding and maintaining the OSP network infrastructure.
• Leading large scale projects, driving productivity through use of vendor resources to meet deliverables.
• Engaging appropriate internal and external organizations and individuals with professional written/verbal communications to accomplish required tasks.
• Coordinating project activities with contractors, developers, municipalities and consultants.
• Invoice verification and processing based on project completion
• Preparing detailed cost analysis, project specifications, requisitions, and business justifications.
• Processing reports, vendor invoices, material receipts, and other administrative duties.
• Receiving general instruction, otherwise performs independently with minimal supervision, exercising latitude to achieve daily objectives and approaches to critical/complex assignments.
• Communicating project status and progress to team members and customers.
• Multi-tasking to effectively manage a wide range of simultaneous activities often interrupted by other demands.

You enjoy analyzing problems and having the autonomy to select and implement the right solutions. While you work well independently, you are also a great teammate and enjoy leading colleagues and coordinating efforts to ensure the best outcomes. No stranger to a fast-paced environment, you balance multiple assignments and opposing priorities while staying passionate about important deadlines. As a strong communicator, you can quickly build relationships with a diverse range of people and explain complex technical issues in a way that everyone can understand. Ability to work in a diverse environment, and must be able to solve complex problems with innovative solutions.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Three or more years of relevant work experience.
• Valid Drivers license.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Project management experience
• Ability to reconcile spend and produce meaningful reporting.
• A degree in engineering or technical/science/mathematics/financial fields.
• Ability to have access to Internet Service while working from home.
• Problem solving, time management, and decision making skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
