Generating sales helps our business grow and you will help us achieve continued growth by providing exceptional customer service to drive sales. The Inside Sales role is a consultative inside sales position, working outbound calling campaigns and assisting customers through account management for the Wireless sales team. The focus is on successfully engaging with Public Sector State, Local, Education and Federal Customers through an Inside Sales selling motion.

  • Conduct outbound calls on qualified leads, identifying opportunities and selling Data, Voice, and Connect, to primarily drive adoption/ up-sell in small existing small State, Local, Education and Federal customers via telephone based selling.
  • Customer base may also include assigned small State, Local, Education and Federal territories.
  • Listening to customers’ needs and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Meeting/exceeding activity/customer engagement objectives.
  • Partners with customer to understand their product/solution needs to identify present and future needs in a consultative selling approach.
  • Exceeds customer expectations in the area of quality account management.
  • Interfaces with Salesforce.com, OMNI B2B, EWI, including ECPD and EPOD (contract tools).
  • Coordinates pre-sale, technical support and sales implementation processes.

Where you'll be working...


This is a work-from-home role performed almost exclusively from your home office with occasional in-person meetings and training.

Home office requirements:

  • This is a work-from-home role.
  • Internet service with a direct connection to a cable or fiber modem capable of at least 25mbps. Wireless connections or DSL are not acceptable. Must be available for a web cam and video requirement.
  • Must live within 50 miles of an approved Verizon location.
  • A dedicated quiet, private workspace.
  • The ability to self-manage in a remote work environment including setup of company-provided ergonomic chair, desk, and computer equipment and ongoing proactive, skilled, and effective management of your home network and connections.
  • Demonstrated self-discipline, time management skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to work collaboratively with leaders and on a team - all in a remote work environment.

    What we’re looking for...

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
    • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
    • Experience making outbound customer calls.

    Even better if you have:

    • Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
    • A history of meeting or exceeding sales expectations.
    • Customer service or call center experience.
    • Communication skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
    • Proficiency in using Account Planning and Order Entry systems.
